Ancestors and Angels - Sacred Ones Three & Warrior Symbols

Today I'm exploring more into my new oracle deck Angels & Ancestors by Kyle Gray, art by Lily Moses. I wanted to start with a smaller part of the deck and become familiar with the it. Not just memorize the author's meaning of the cards but really fully connect with the intent of the card and what it says to me.

We'll be going back to the deck and pulling four more cards one of the Sacred Ones cards and three Warrior Symbols. I hope you enjoy.

Sacred Ones

Spirit Fox

The Spirit Fox tells us to Trust your talents in changing times. This is the time to stay alert, change is coming. A fox knows what it is like to be hunted. They live in varied areas from urban to wild and even in the barren cold of the north and the heat of the desert. They survive by staying alert and watching what is around them. When we see this card in our spread we should embrace the fox medicine and remember to be present and alert for there is something that requires our attention coming. Trust our inner knowledge and we will prevail.

Seer

The Seer card tells us to See beyond the Current Situation. She is an intuitive being channeling information on what is happening now. Allowing us to see that our intentions can and do change the future. We can use this knowledge to not only change but create the best future for us.  When this card is pulled take some time to focus on what you can see coming and make the path better for yourself and those around you.

Warrior Symbols

Eagle

The Eagle card tells us to see from a higher perspective.  Look at thing from different angles and see from all points of view.  The eagle is a powerful courageous guide that is able to view their domain from high in the clouds. It is able to see all around and is able to make decisions based on that wide view. When this card is pulled take a moment to stop and take the higher road, look at the situation from a different place. There may be something you're missing.

Snake

The Snake tells us to shed old skin.  Cast off the old and show your true colors.  Unleash your gifts and talents to the world.  The medicine of the snake is said to allow one to reach the highest spiritual potential.  The snake sheds it's skin and it left with brightly colored scales as it grows and changes.  When you see the snake in your draw take some time to think about what may be limiting you, what needs to be left behind in order for you to become a better version of you!

Ancestors and Angels - Sacred Ones Two

Today I'm exploring more into my new oracle deck Angels & Ancestors by Kyle Gray, art by Lily Moses. I wanted to start with a smaller part of the deck and become familiar with the it. Not just memorize the author's meaning of the cards but really fully connect with the intent of the card and what it says to me.

We'll be going back to the deck and pulling four more of the Sacred Ones cards. I hope you enjoy.

Sacred Ones

Elder

The Elder card tells us to move beyond ancestral patterns. Look further than the path laid out for you by your ancestors and family.  Your spirit is stronger than what is created by patterns from our birth. The image on the card is a man of Aboriginal tribes. These are the oldest living people on the plant still alive today.  They represent the holding on of the strength of the ancestors but encompassing the intuition to adapt and change to continue to live in an ever changing world.   All while keeping one foot set in the spiritual realm.  When the Elder is pulled, he reminds us to keep our head up and focus on the healing work that needs to be done. We should look to move past the failures or hardships of the past because within us lies the power to thrive.

Shapeshifter

The Shapeshifter tells us to transform and unveil your gifts.  The image on the card is a shapeshifting shaman. He is flanked by a hawk and wolf beneath the full moon. An image of a snake surrounds him and his eyes one human and one big cat looks deep within us.  Shifting allows us to see the world through different eyes. We can call upon the animal that speaks to us and use that animal medicine to guide us through times when we may need just a bit more support.  Each of these gifts we then have within us. We take the eyes of the hawk or the will of the elephant and apply them to our daily trials. When the Shapeshifter card is pulled it is letting us know that we will have the opportunity to call upon those strengths. Be alert to a particular animal you're seeing regularly. It may be that you need to harness the energy of this animal and use this power to help as the days move on.

Hunter

The Hunter tells us to track down our fears and desires. This card depicts the god of the hunt, Cernunnos  He is the god of the hunt and the hunted. He connects us with our fears and our fearlessness.  We need only get past these fears to find our deepest desires. The stag is the proud animal. He is strong and resilient. He reminds us to put down these fears and walk tall on the earth. Focus our energy on achieving our goals. Find the things we desire and move towards obtaining them.  When this card is pulled it reminds us to move past the things that are stopping us and focus our energy on the things that we truly desire. We have the capacity to achieve our goals. We just need to do it.

She-Wolf

The She-Wolf tells us to unleash the wild within.  Unleash the wild side and allow our desires to take over.  The image on this card is a shamanic half wolf, have woman howling at the boom. She is the alpha female. She can and will take charge of the situation. She is unfiltered and undeterred.  She reminds us to be free and unchained. As she throws back her head and howls to to the moon, she wants us to embrace that wild energy within us and take our pack into the future.  When this card is pulled it reminds us to focus on that wolf energy, track down where we want to go and don't let anyone that may attempt to deter us, stand in our way. We are on the path of our wild side, take charge and succeed!

Ethereal Grind - Altar Cloths

Today I wanted to share with you some new items we have in at Ethereal Grind.  We  have a new selection of Altar Cloths available.  These are a unique set of coverings made with frayed edges giving them a bit more of a mystical appearance.

The two largest each have a celtic style knotwork around the board with a center area for the main image. One is a triple moon with a pentacle in the center. The second has a large pentacle. I love both of these!

The next I have is a huge 72 x 21 inch runner style tapestry.  It has three printed pentacles across the center with celtic knotwork around the outside.  This would be a great piece for an ancestral mantle altar or showcasing a wide working altar.

Either of these would be a fantastic addition to your sacred space. You can get yours here.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out my series on Ancestors and Angels oracle deck.

Ancestors and Angels - Sacred Ones

Today I'm exploring more into my new oracle deck Angels & Ancestors by Kyle Gray, art by Lily Moses. I wanted to start with a smaller part of the deck and become familiar with the it. Not just memorize the author's meaning of the cards but really fully connect with the intent of the card and what it says to me.

Sacred Ones

The Medicine Mother tells us to Honour Your Inner Knowing. Trust our inner knowledge and do what needs to be done.  As a maternal figure our "mother knows best" as the saying goes. This card tells us that our "mother" has gone through loss as well as her ups and downs and knows what we need to do it move forward. Even though we will have lows, the Medicine Mother reminds us we are supported and are not here to suffer. When this card is pulled keep courage and keep stepping forward into the future no matter the challenge.  We must trust our inner strength and move on.

The Hermit tells us to retreat and recharge.  This card tells us to take time to recover in order to continue to grow.  We should listen to our heart and focus on that energy.  This card represents solitude and meditation.  We can look within ourselves to find the answer to many of the questions and challenges we face each day.  The Hermit reminds us that working hard is a great quality but we also need to stop and rest. When the Hermit card is pulled we should slow down, take a moment to listen to the energy within us before proceeding.

The Peacekeeper tells us to let go of the need to be right.  Choose the peaceful path and avoid the path of the energy draining need that leads to be right.  The sacred white buffalo and the peace pipe in this imagery indicates the abundance and manifestation and the desire to no longer fight.  The Peacekeeper medicine reminds us to take the higher road. When this card is pulled calm that warrior within us that wants to fight every battle presented. Stop, center and come back to the knowledge and understanding that peace is the ultimate state.

The Wise One tellus to grow within your current situation.  Buckle down and stand strong.  Listen to the wisdom of the elders. The Wise One represents the crone energy. She is the strongest energy and most connected with the goddess and the ancestors.  The raven represents rebirth and the owl, wisdom.  When this card is pulled we are reminded to keep working hard on our current situation. Focus and call on the energy of the wise one. She has the answer and we only need listen to her voice on the winds of the night to find our answer.

Ethereal Grind Product Review - Witch's Cabinet

This week I wanted to share with you this pretty amazing cabinet that we picked up for the shop.  Our shop has lots of altar tools, incense as well as handmade items such as jewelry and personalized t-shirts. You can see all of our products at www.Etherealgrind.com.

Now on to the cabinet.

It is incredible. It is made with solid wood and has pentacles around the front and sides.  Each drawer is hand carved and has space for herbs, rocks or other little witchy goodies.

The handles are made of metal and each piece fits together like a puzzle.  Here are a few pictures.

I just love this piece. It stands 9 1/2 in tall x 8" wide x 3 1/2 in deep drawers.  It is so fantastic. We only have one in the shop right now but we may be able to get more. If you're interested in this piece, head over to the shop and grab it up! It is fairly priced at 32.50.  You can't be that with a stick!  LOL

Here's the link for this amazing piece.

Hope you enjoyed this little look inside Ethereal Grind!

Angels and Ancestors - Guardians Three and the Sacred Ones

Today I'm exploring more into my new oracle deck Angels & Ancestors by Kyle Gray, art by Lily Moses. I wanted to start with a smaller part of the deck and become familiar with the it. Not just memorize the author's meaning of the cards but really fully connect with the intent of the card and what it says to me.

We'll be going back to the deck and pulling two more of the guardian cards and two of the Sacred Ones cards. I hope you enjoy.

Guardians

The Mirror Guardian tell us to time time to reflect. We should look at the path behind us, and think about how far we have come. The card depicts an angel looking into the mirror of life, showing us our spiritual strength and beauty.  The mirror is our core belief.  The guardian is there to show us the way to reflect on what we are and what we have become.  We are asked to look at how we have developed and what lessons we have learned along the way. When this card is pulled we should take a moment to give ourselves the approval of what work we have accomplished and credit where credit is due.

The Animal Guardian tells us to trust your instincts. To rely on the animal spirit within ourselves to learn more about ourselves and our talents. Animals are thought of as the angels of nature and will support us on our spiritual journey. Each one bringing its own medicine just when we have a lesson to learn.  This card depicts a tribal angel being supported by her animals.  The powerful animal within can be wild, protective or calm.  This card tells us it is important to connect with how we really feel. When this card is pulled we should take a moment to look into ourselves and rely on that animal instinct to guide our decisions.

Sacred Ones

The Oracle tells us to wait for important information.  We should be open to all information that is coming to us in order to gather all the facts for our decisions.  The Oracle is a truth-speaker, who tells you exactly what you need to hear, when you need to hear it. In this card the Oracle holds a bowl with sacred smoke rising out of it, bringing the message to look beyond all you can see to gather more information. When this card is pulled, there is an opportunity to see everything clearly, if you choose to see it.  You'll know what to do next, just trust your knowledge and act accordingly.

The Shaman tells us to trust in higher forces.  Look to the angels, the guides and the ancestors for the energy to move forward.  The Shaman is the messenger, helping us realize the needs of mother earth. They are the spiritual guide to light workers and warriors. They lead us to the place where our power was left behind. If you see this card, you need to do some work to release that lower energy that may have been created when your power was left behind. Move yourself in tune with your spiritual allies and use the shamanic potential to connect with the guides to develop a deep connection with the situation and come out on top.

I hope you have enjoyed my take on these Guardian and Sacred Ones Cards. Next week, I'll be delving further into the Ancestors and Angels deck, focusing specifically on more of the cards in the Sacred Ones house. Feel free to add your comments or questions - or reach out directly for a personal connection.

Ethereal Grind - Tumblers

I thought I would create a few blog posts related to the things we're working on at Ethereal Grind. What's Ethereal Grind, you ask.  Ethereal Grind is our latest step in my goal to open a metaphysical store in my retirement. We're working now to create our online presence and will be looking to attend festivals and events as the state begins opening up since Covid.

I wanted to share some of the goodies that we've been creating. This post will be dedicated to Elijah's amazing tumblers.  These are hot/cold 24 oz cups with a plastic lid that have some pretty amazing artwork applied to them and then are coated with resin. Elijah completes then by hand and drips the resin on in a fine layer to achieve almost miraculous results.

But, what is it they say about pictures??  Yeah, let me hush and show you what I'm talking about.

I hope you enjoy this look at our tumblers.  Remember to head over and check out the shop.  Custom work available, housewares, ritual tools and more!
